Time Slip Theatre Opens 13th Year of ‘Rocky Horror’ With a Witchy Twist
Time Slip Theatre, a 501(c)(3) theatre company best known for its productions of “The Rocky Horror Show,” opens its 13th annual production Oct. 16-31 at PLAY Louisville. For year 13, the company is putting a spooky, witch-inspired spin on the “Rocky” fans know and love.
The naive Brad and Janet descend on a journey of exploration and liberation at the castle of Dr. Frank N Furter in this irreverent show, known for its hysterical send-up of 1950s sci-fi B-movies as well as its unapologetic celebration of individuality and being true to yourself. Time Slip Theatre’s production of the timeless cult classic is a full-scale performance with live actors, not a movie screening, and includes all the hits and one-liners “Rocky” fans have come to expect.
Directed by Remy Sisk, the show runs Oct. 16-31 at PLAY Louisville, 1011 E. Washington Street. Single general admission tickets are $15 and tables of four are $75. Tickets and tables are available at timesliptheatre.org. The show stars drag queen May O’Nays as Dr. Frank N Furter and features Fairness Campaign Director Chris Hartman as the Narrator Oct. 16, 29, 30 and 31. Celebrated visual artist and muralist Wylie Caudill will take on the Narrator Oct. 23 and 24.

“I’m thrilled to have the privilege of opening year 13 of our production of ‘Rocky Horror,’” said Time Slip Theatre Artistic Director and director of “Rocky Horror” Remy Sisk. “It’s an honor to be able to uphold the ‘Rocky’ legacy here in Louisville, and we have a few spooky surprises planned for lucky number 13!”
In addition to the live show, Time Slip is performing shadow casts throughout October. These are events where the film “Rocky Horror Picture Show” is played and Time Slip’s troupe acts out the scenes in front of the screen. The remaining shadow cast dates are Oct. 22 at Time Slip Theatre and Oct. 28 at The Last Refuge.
As Louisville’s resident “Rocky” troupe, the company has performed at a multitude of events throughout the years. In the past, the company has performed its shadow cast and live selections for stars of the original film Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn and “Little” Nell Campbell. Time Slip also tours the show to PLAY’s Nashville location ahead of opening in Louisville.
Time Slip Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to enhance the cultural landscape of Louisville while increasing arts education accessibility to students.
