Louisville’s Lexi Love Joins RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17
Lexi Love, PLAY Louisville’s “Roller-Derby Doll” playmate, is among 14 queens competing for the coveted title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and a grand prize of $200,000.
In a press release from the show on Wednesday, Lexi was described as a queen who knows how to bring the energy: “As a performer, Lexi knows how to turn the party up — but she’s also someone you’d love to kick it with. Having survived a period of homelessness and drug addiction, she has emerged a stronger and more independent queen, and is ready for the re-birth of Lexi to take over the world!”
She’s the fifth queen from Kentucky, fourth from Louisville and second Playmate to appear on the show.
Dusty Ray Bottoms appeared in Season 10, while Scarlet Envy appeared in Season 11 before returning to the franchise on All Stars 6 and UK vs. the World: Season 2. Monica Beverly Hillz, Owensboro, appeared on Season 5. Former Louisville Playmate Jade Jolie competed in the show’s fifth season.
