Article Submissions

Queer Kentucky is a diverse LGBTQ+ run non-profit working to bolster and enhance Queer culture and health though storytelling, education and action. Through our storytelling approach, we give visibility and celebrate the lives of LGBTQ+ people in the great Bluegrass State. Visibility alone is life-saving. 

Our online and print publication stories are read on an international scale and we are looking for stories to add to our platform. We are specifically looking for stories that are grounded with a southern (specifically Kentucky) voice, but can also cross Bluegrass borders.

Online Publication: We are currently seeking well-rounded journalistic stories around civic engagement, politics, health equity, substance abuse, suicide prevention and awareness, pop culture, art, food/hospitality … really anything queer! We also accept personal essays/editorials, but it is not our main focus at this time.
