Louisville Roller Derby to kick off 2025 fall home season with October double header
Louisville Roller Derby will close its 20th anniversary season with a doubleheader Oct. 4 at the Triple Crown Pavilion.
The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with Louisville Junior Roller Derby taking on Vette City Junior Roller Derby. At 7 p.m., Louisville’s Bourbon Brawlers will face Vette City Roller Derby. Doors open at 4 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to be closing our season with two games at home here in Louisville,” said league vice president Hanna Woods, who skates under the name Jennifer Cruelidge. “We spend the majority of our season traveling across the region to compete, so it means a lot to us to be finishing this season strong in front of our hometown fans who have been supporting us for the last 20 years.”
The doubleheader will be held at the Triple Crown Pavilion, a new venue for the league. Woods said the location offers amenities important to fans, including free parking, concessions and a bar. Seating will be provided, and the ground-floor venue requires no stairs or elevators.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children ages 7 to 12. Children under 7 are admitted free. Group pricing, season passes and sliding-scale options are also available.
Fans will also be invited to vote for their favorite skaters, with proceeds supporting the Kentucky Health Justice Network, a nonprofit that provides reproductive and gender-affirming health care services.
Louisville Roller Derby, founded in 2005, is the city’s first and only flat-track roller derby league. The nonprofit league became a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association in 2009.
The Oct. 4 bouts will take place at the Triple Crown Pavilion, 1780 Plantside Drive in Jeffersontown.
