Use one queer slang word to describe Kentucky!
“queer-pas-gay”
How did you activate and organize your community for equality?
By creating spaces and experiences that fully embody and empower Queerness. Queer not only in the limiting terms of identity, but Queer because it is a place of community, of celebrating difference, of acceptance, of experimenting, of learning and of truly being yourself.
In the last 25 years, what is one moment that gave you hope for Kentucky’s fight in equality?
About 5 years ago, the parent of a Trans Girl Scout asked if her daughter could set up a table to sell cookies at our shop. An immediate feeling of, “We are all going to be okay.” rushed over me.
