Time Slip Theatre Opens 12th Year of ‘The Rocky Horror Show’
Time Slip Theatre, a 501(c)(3) known for its productions of “The Rocky Horror Show,” will open its 12th annual staging Oct. 17 at PLAY Louisville, with performances through Nov. 1.
Directed by Remy Sisk, the production is a full stage show with live actors, not a film screening. The musical follows Brad and Janet as they stumble into the castle of Dr. Frank N Furter, a send-up of 1950s sci-fi B-movies that also celebrates individuality.
Performances will be held at PLAY Louisville, 1011 E. Washington St. Single general admission tickets are $15 and tables of four are $75. Tickets are available at timesliptheatre.org.
Drag performer May O’Nays stars as Dr. Frank N Furter. Fairness Campaign Director Chris Hartman will serve as Narrator on Oct. 17, 18 and 31 and Nov. 1. Visual artist Wylie Caudill will take the Narrator role on Oct. 24 and 25.
As Louisville’s resident “Rocky” troupe, Time Slip Theatre also presents shadow casts and special events. This year’s appearances include a completed shadow cast at Copper & Kings and upcoming shows on Oct. 26 at Portal and Oct. 30 at The Last Refuge. The company has performed for original film cast members Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn and “Little” Nell Campbell, and tours its show to PLAY’s Nashville location before opening in Louisville.
