Patti Minter, D-Bowling Green and Lisa Willner, D-Louisville have filed a bill that would ban the practice of conversion therapy in Kentucky.
Conversion therapy is a treatment that works to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
If this passes, health professionals won’t be able to practice the therapy regardless of age. Public funds will also not be allowed for conversion therapy.
