✍🏻 @oliviakrauth A GOP state representative in Kentucky accosted a transgender woman trying to use the women’s bathroom at the state Capitol Thursday, sparking a terse exchange with another lawmaker on the House floor later in the day.

Carma Bell Marshall, who leads the Trans-Wellness Coalition, tried to use the restroom before speaking at a trans pride event when Rep. Bill Wesley (R-Ravenna) intervened, allegedly falsely saying it was illegal for her to use the women’s restroom and involving state law enforcement. 🔗 Read the full story with the link on our bio
Want to have great sex? Start with respect, communication, and an open mind. Every trans body is different, so don’t assume—ask, listen, and explore with consent. Let’s talk about pleasure, boundaries, and getting it right. 🔗 Read the whole story with the link in our bio
✍️ @thesydnihampton There’s a time and a place for having fun. That time and that place is when the overture starts at your local drag bar. There’s music, dancing lights and probably a drag queen performing something from the Dua Lipa catalog of certified BOPS. It’s easy to get lost in it all. BUT WAIT - You have a sudden urge to get on stage with the performer during their number? You’ve had three too many and you’ve gone full Aunt Stacey at the Florida Georgia Line concert? Now you’re being escorted out of the club, the DJ is making fun of you on the mic and you can’t find your GBF who brought you here? 🔗 Read the full story with the link in our bio.
LINK IN BIO Conversion therapy will be allowed in Kentucky and transgender Kentuckians will no longer have gender-affirming health care covered by Medicaid after lawmakers overrode Beshear’s veto of HB 495 Thursday afternoon.

The reversal of Beshear’s executive order blocking conversion therapy in the state will go into effect immediately.
Kentucky’s 2025 legislative session is finally almost over.

Lawmakers will spend Thursday and Friday in Frankfort tying up some loose strings and mainly overriding several (if not all) of Gov. Andy Beshear’s nearly 30 vetoes.

Queer Kentucky will be monitoring things so you don’t have to (but, obviously, feel free to join us in civic engagement). We’ll be updating this story as things progress from now until the clock strikes midnight Friday and lawmakers, per the state constitution, must go home. 🔗 FOLLOW OUR LIVE BLOG WITH THE LINK IN BIO
