Two bills have been filed that will harm transgender Kentuckians, particularly transgender kids, said officials with Ban Conversion Therapy Kentucky
HB321, introduced by Rep. Savannah Maddox, would prohibit parents from making medical decisions about their kids and use government force regarding the medical care of their children by banning parents from raising their children based upon their conscious and the ability to get healthcare for their transgender children.
SB114, introduced by Senator Mills, would ban transgender individuals from sports, forcing all sports participants to play based upon their sex.
Ban Conversion Therapy Kentucky said, “These pieces of legislation will harm Kentucky’s kids and their ability to grow up as their most authentic persons. If passed, Kentucky legislators will be to blame for harming our children.”
