Dusty Ray Bottoms and Alexis Michelle bring two hour cabaret comedy to Louisville
It’s no secret that the Kentuckiana area is home to several Queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Many of these Queens perform for their home crowds between gigs across the United States.
One such Queen and Ban Conversion Therapy Kentucky advocate, Dusty Ray Bottoms, will perform alongside Alexis Michelle (RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9) for their long running Good Judy/Bad Judy at the Bard’s Town on Sept. 25 at 11 p.m.
The two Queen, two hour drag show entails lip syncs, comedy, cabaret and giveaways.
“This is our first time doing this show together outside of New York City,” Bottoms said. “Most of my drag career has been in New York and drag shows are quite different there.”
Bottoms added that usually one or two queens are on the stage the entire time working the audience and serving numbers in New York City based shows.
“We’re not just bar queens!” Bottoms said. “We are so excited to bring our show to a theater type venue that fosters creative live experiences. The Bard’s Town is so cute and brings people of all walks of life together.”
Michelle and Bottoms are close friends and came onto the New York City scene at the same time.
Michelle said she’s thrilled to be bringing their New York City style show to Louisville and most of all bringing their friendship to people.
“We’ve inspired and challenged each other for several years now and had a great time while doing it,” Michelle said. “Especially after the last year and a half, bringing the Louisville audience some fun, laughs, and friendship is just what we need!”
Tickets to the show are LIMITED so grab them ASAP! Oh, and bring your ones, yall.
