John Reisert(he/him)

Board Chair, Governance Committee Chair

John retired from a 35 year career in sales and marketing consulting in 2022. He now focuses his time on volunteering and philanthropy and some occasional travel. John lives in Louisville with his husband, Carl and their dog, Cooper.

Carrick Moon(he/him)

Secretary, Development Committee Chair

Carrick was born and raised in the Bluegrass state, and currently serves as the Partnerships Associate at Protect Democracy.

Brian Raque(he/him)

Board Member

Brian is a Louisville, Kentucky-based attorney who specializes in medical malpractice defense and actively participates in criminal justice reform initiatives.

Lauren Creecy(she/her)

Board Member

Lauren is a strategy and management consultant in the Alcohol Beverage space. Originally from Northern California, she’s lived in Louisville for the past 8 years with her partner and 8 year old son.

Kennedy Stephens(she/they)

Board Member

Kennedy, born and raised in Louisville, KY, works as a Product Designer for Humana and also enjoys various hobbies including ceramics, music, and dance.

Garrett Blaize(he/him)

Board Member

Garrett is the Executive Director of the Appalachian Community Fund in Whitesburg, Kentucky, where he oversees grantmaking and fiscal sponsorship supporting queer art, organizing, and cultural production across the region.

Elissa Fochtman(she/er)

Board Member

Elissa is a Louisville-based strategist who currently works for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and has worked on multiple political campaigns, including Gov. Andy Beshear’s 2019 campaign.

Reina Kempt(she/her)

Board Member

Reina is a queer journalist and nonprofit executive based in the Louisville metro area, serving as Director of News Automation and AI at USA Today Co.

Angela Cooper(she/her)

Angela is a nonprofit communications specialist with over 25 years of experience in board governance and community-centered journalism.
